Agreement
By using SimGen VLA software ("VLA"), you agree to these terms. VLA is proprietary software provided by Clouthier Simulation Labs.
License Tiers
Free Tier
5 GPU hours/month. Personal and non-commercial use only. Full VLA precision and all functions included.
Academic Tier
20 GPU hours/month. Requires .edu or research institution email. For academic research and education.
Pro Tier ($49/mo)
Unlimited GPU hours. Commercial use permitted. Priority support included.
Team & Enterprise
Multi-user licenses with team management, audit logs, and custom SLAs. Contact us for pricing.
Permitted Use
- •Use VLA for scientific computing, machine learning, simulations, and numerical analysis
- •Integrate VLA into your applications (Pro tier and above for commercial use)
- •Publish research results computed using VLA with attribution
Prohibited Use
- •Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling VLA
- •Redistributing VLA or creating derivative works
- •Removing or altering proprietary notices
- •Using Free/Academic tiers for commercial purposes
- •Circumventing usage tracking or license verification
Intellectual Property
VLA, including all algorithms, source code, compiled binaries, and documentation, is the exclusive intellectual property of Clouthier Simulation Labs. Patent pending.
Results computed using VLA belong to you. You may use, publish, and commercialize your computational results without restriction.
Accuracy Disclaimer
VLA provides zero accumulation error for arithmetic operations. However, VLA cannot correct errors in input data representation (e.g., 0.001 is not exactly representable in binary). Users are responsible for understanding IEEE 754 floating-point limitations and using appropriate input formats (e.g., vla.Decimal_frac()) when exact representation is required.
Warranty Disclaimer
VLA IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT VLA WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL CLOUTHIER SIMULATION LABS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF VLA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR VLA IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Termination
We may terminate your license if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of VLA and delete all copies. Sections on intellectual property, warranty disclaimers, and liability limitations survive termination.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
